Because this one has me completely baffled..
If you read any of my previous post
you have read about some of the things
the Lord is currently doing in and through us
but what He is doing with this blog??????
I
just
don’t
know.
Last summer my MIL (mother-in-law)
insisted that I read The Pioneer Woman’s book
Black Heels to Tractor Wheels?
LOVED IT!!
read it through in two sittings
not too many weeks go by when
sister banker-who doesn’t know that I have just read this book
brings me an article
and says
“this looks like something you would enjoy reading”
it was an article on The Pioneer Woman
& her home schooling approach..
again
a nice read.
few months pass and yet
there she is again
can’t recall who sent
that particular article
this time
about her cookbook…
again
a pleasant read
this would be a great time for me to insert
the fact
that I had not requested
ANY of the previous
books
or articles
they just kept
showing up..
and then finally
back
on a Monday
in January
I had had a ROUGH day at work
was venting to Cowboy Dan
crying like a crazy woman in my kitchen
when I spot
ANOTHER random article on The Pioneer Woman
and I said
(like a C-R-a-Z-y woman)
to Cowboy Dan
“where did you get this??!”
his simple reply
“Aw Ronnie down at the feed store gave it to me.
Said it made him think of us.
Thought you might like to read it.”
and that’s when I decided
to sit down and really see what this
woman was all about…
so I went to the kitchen
logged onto HER blog
for the first time
scrolled down
thinking
oooh cute template
nice life
cute kids
and then…
an entry that caught my eye
“Sunday Shootout”
a simple entry
where she and her family had friends visiting their ranch
appeared to be out shooting skeet
and the post ended with
pictures of she and her husband
in a shoot off
NOW
this is where I will insert this interesting
little twist..
the Saturday
prior
to the Monday
when I saw this “Sunday Shootout” post
Cowboy Dan had traded
a horse
for
a new rifle
And
on Sunday-
after church
Cowboy Dan and I
had
had
our very own
Sunday shootout!!!
SOO
when I saw this post on Monday
I began to question
and still am quite frankly
“what in the world are you up to Lord?”
it was that Monday
I really began to entertain
the idea of blogging
I thought to myself
a blog
about
life
family
farming
yep..
we can do that
and so it began
in late February…
this is the part
that BAFFLES my mind
to date
this blog
has had almost 3600 views!!!!
I am just
an ordinary
woman
who
is
real,
cherishes her family
and LOVEs the Lord.
so again
I ask..
“Lord what are you up to? what do you want me to do? I am yours.”
