I began to smile

I hardly know where to begin

this morning at church
as our pastor began to speak
on prayer
I began to smile

why?
I LOVE prayer!

why?
because through prayer
I have had the most
authentic
intimate
conversations
with my Savior

the Savior who
chose me and
saved me..

I pray
because
I have BELIEVED
in Him

now back to the morning message

it was during the second point
that my smile
became
a
JAW DROP~

when our pastor read

Romans 10:17
“So then faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God”

you may ask
“what’s the big deal?”

well  for those of you who may have not read my post from earlier in the week
this is the VERY scripture I pondered during a recent quiet time and in turn shared
I found myself once again assured and comforted
by the SOVEREIGNTY of my sweet Savior

the JAW DROP
quickly accompanied by tears of joy
as I listened
and began to
see more our giant floor puzzle of life
begin
to come together
piece by piece

travel back with me
for just a minute

January – the stir and unrest of something BIG about to happen..
seeking and pleading with the Lord through prayer
“what do you want me to do?
one prayer in particular
 included a list of questions :
is it time?
do I leave my job?
home school?
why the sudden interest in a blog?
financial needs?

and these were just a few
and yet within a couple of days
we had answers
to over half

by February the decision
to come home
was made
our prayers for direction continued
and I began to blog
primarily
because I am forgetful
and so much was happening
so fast

by March
our dream
of my coming home
and
working from home
began to take shape
SmithCreek Farm
was established
my letter of resignation presented
and
our first event
was
scheduled by mid April

all the while
my family’s prayers
Cowboy Dan’s
the boys
 and mine
continued
“Father we trust you
you are sovereign
we are surrendered
show us
lead us
we are yours”

May~ over 2000 views of my blog
me baffled that people would chose
to allow me to be a part of their day
asking the Lord
“what is your plan with this? ..use me Lord.”
our first two events
very SUCCESSFUL
perfect weather
fun had by all
word is spreading
our faith growing
day by day

and finally
here it is June
our FIRST Farm Camp
an ABSOLUTE success!
our calendar filling with events
blog with 3200+ views

and me
sobbing tears of JOY
completely AWED
at the Lord and how He
has
 so
strategically orchestrated
the circumstances and events
of our life
prompting us to pray, OBEY and TRUST Him
on a whole new level

and it is by His grace we will
remain
Surrendered to His will
 as we cling to
the Word in our days ahead
believing
“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.” Matthew 5:6
