went thrifting with my bestie yesterday
we LOVE thrifting!
do you?
it’s an adventure!!!
you see all kinds of really interesting stuff
at ridiculously cheap prices
often meet very unique people
and it’s always a treat to see
who will end up
with the “deal of the day”
and even though bestie got a
bible for FREE
that new sells between 50-60$
yesterday…
the vote.
hands down
unanimous…..
I WON!!
the “deal of the day”
you know what it was?
a prize for Tuck
where we found it?
in the basement (which was a little eerie)
of the sixth stop
know what it was?
a
“Billy Bass!!!!!!!!!!!!”
you know???
the plastic
mounted bass
that flops and SINGS!!
o me.
the rascals LOVE it!!!
they sang and danced
and sang
and danced some more
I wish you all could have been in the kitchen for the concert last night…
it was PHENOMENAL…
and when Cowboy Dan
hung “Billy”
on the wall
beside Tuck’s bed last night
Tuck said:
“YOU ARE THE BEST MOM E-V-E-R!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
I just smiled.
thinking…
another great adventure
with one of my nearest and dearest friends…
a concert in the kitchen
I wouldn’t have missed for the world..
and the look on Tuck’s face
as he gazed with sheer joy
as though he had
caught and mounted the bass himself..
these GREAT treasures….
are the things in life
that are
ABSOLUTELY~
priceless!
Karmen, where do you go thrifting? Might be something I need to check into…I want to do some different things for Christmas with plates and tea cups…any suggestions you would care to pass on?
