last night we went to pay our respects
to a sweet friend
and sister in Christ
whose season of life
ended abruptly
this past Saturday

as we entered
her home church
I gasped within myself at
the number of people
standing in line
to share love
and memories with her precious loved ones

I’ve never personally witnessed
such a celebration of LIFE

I shared with Cowboy Dan
as we waited in line
what an AMAZING testimony
she was
 to the difference
ONE LIFE
can make

and that’s exactly what we are given
ONE life
a long life?
a brief one?

only one.
on this earth

and then
eternity.

by God’s grace
I’m going to make mine count
glorifying Him
each
and every day

loving always
forgiving again and again
helping often
sharing
inspiring
encouraging

MORE.

  1. Sorry to hear about your friend. I remember reading bios of great Christians when I was a teen. Great Christians who died young. I wanted to accomplish in my life what they did by the same age. I don’t know that I have, but my desire is to serve the Lord, and to glorify Him in all I do. My motivation. My everything.

  2. Hi dear- Was reading your blog at a break and catching up on it and I am a nerd and always look back at Nov 3rd cause that was when I lost a huge cheerleader in my life, Mrs Sharma got her crown and I am glad she made an impact on all so much. I wish she was still here but we know she wouldn’t come back from where she is now. Thanks for remembering her! Still pray for Steve and Sara. Sharma’s birthday is next week, Feb 8th. Another milestone to pass but overall they are strong. Thanks for saying sweet things.
