we all have them
some more than others
you know?
the kind of day
that makes your head spin
when you glance in the rear view mirror
today was one of those days
rascals crashed our camp EARLY
soooo
we started our school day early
we were expecting a visit from the local paper
and to say the rascals were e.x.c.i.t.e.d
would be a bit of an understatement
(STAYED TUNED..for an UPCOMING profile feature on HOME SCHOOL)
TUCK made a 100 on his spelling test!
WHOOP! WHOOP!
hard work paid off!
4H mid morning
9 kiddos today!
great time discussing seed needs
wrapping up with a walk around the farm
then
SURPRISED the rascals with a trip
to their FAVORITE PLACE
the NATURE CENTER
at DeSoto State Park
GREAT, FREE FIELD TRIP
going on a “TOOTH HUNT”
was a FAB way to wrap up our Dental Health week
(whew! glad that unit study is behind us…
those of you who know me KNOW how much I LOVE the DENTIST! wink, wink)
after the NATURE CENTER
I took the rascals to one of MY FAVORITE PLACES
Howard’s Chapel
the church with a rock in it!
the rascals had never been
HIS presence
so real
from the moment we walked in
Tuck walked to the pulpit
as I read a plaque on the wall
with the pastor’s name who baptized me
my heart so full
I called the rascals to join me
on the front pew
to praise HIM for HIS blessings in our life
as I prayed
my voice cracked
Tuck whispered
“don’t cry momma”
I sure do love that lil fella.
and with that
we went outside
explored a bit more
before heading
to the bank
public library
and finally the store
to help Cowboy Dan
wrap up day’s end
before
heading home
to gather eggs
load a trailer of hay
water the critters
and load the wagon
for a birthday party
we’re coordinating tomorrow
SHOUT OUT to sister banker
for sending over her left over chili to feed
my crew
because this momma-jomma
is GLORIOUSLY EXHAUSTED
Thank you Father for an AMAZING day
with those I cherish
good night
sweet dreams
