we all have friends
we are closer to
throughout the seasons of life
and then there are friends
if we are fortunate
will stand the test of time and become
lifelong friends.
April is one of mine
travel back
our freshman year, Home Economics
even on her worst day
she ran domestic laps around me
she married her high school sweet heart
while still in high school the latter part of our Jr. year
and no. no, baby on board
thinking back it was probably best that we had at least one mature person on our senior trip
otherwise we might have gotten in to real troubleÂ
we grew up together in church
college & career
then on to young married
growing, changing, maturing together
a year out of high school
her oldest son was born
he was like one of “ours” before Cowboy Dan & I had ours
he grew up in the saddle
riding the trail with us
smiling all the way
a couple years later
her precious daughter came along
she oozes sweet and is so good to my boys!
best I can recall
she was just shy of a year
we were all at a Christmas party
when we got word
HOUSE ON FIRE! on Dean
it was theirs
all of us together
salvaged what we could
then stepped back and cried.
as the rest burnt to the ground
grieving along side them
we cried lots more
the weeks and months that followed
Cowboy Dan and I still flying as a duet
who needed kids of their own right?? we’ll just borrow the neighbors :O)
April and her hubs were expecting #3
he was just as cute as the other 2
“cotton top” and squishy
did I mention?
she home-schooled before homeschooling was cool
makes homemade bread without a starter
her kids have STATE OF THE ART MANNERS
and is hands down the most organized person I know
it’s sickening really
her labels and order
boggles my spastic mind
She loves her family, friends and the LORD as much as anybody I can think of
and she’s MOVING TO THE DOMINICAN !
nobody panic.
why?
she and her precious family
are moving to the Dominican to serve as full time missionaries
