I hope you and yours had a memorable Easter. Not sure if it’s my physical or spiritual age that makes each year a little sweeter but hands down Resurrection Sunday is my favorite. As did many of you, we celebrated the RISEN SAVIOR with family and friends. Much to the cowboy’s delight we did not host this year’s annual gathering.   A few were missing and were missed but overall it was a great afternoon that lingered into evening full of sun and delicious food with an extra helpin’ of love & laughter…

My favorite people on the planet

I’ve written lots of stories in my mind over the last several days but have been caught up in the relentless game of tug-o-war of life and leisure and haven’t been able to get to the keyboard until now. Here’s a quick recap and a request

******

Our big boy turned 8 a week ago today and I just can’t get over it…

Eight sounds old and the reason it sounds old is because I taught for over a decade and many of the babies I taught were six & turned seven and some sevens turned eight. Eight is old. They can do a lot for themselves which is fantastic and exactly what we want unless it’s your once tiny little fat baby -now all grown with adorable freckles and independent, farm lovin’ fishing crazy young man. You know?.

Dirty faced little rascals are the cutest <3

We threw him an all boy birthday bash! Which thankfully according to the man cub was “the best.birthday. EV-UH!” #scoreformom

Fishin’, canoe tipping, hide-n-go seek in the dark, campfire storytelling with a grand finale sleep over in the hay barn!! (much to my surprise was a total success) I predicted all 10+ boys would be in my living room by midnight. I was wrong. They slept sound from 1030ish until 6:20 the next morning. Testosterone +awesomeness= BEST BIRTHDAY EVER!

Later in the week a precious friend hosted her very first IF: Table (read more about IF here) it was wonderful! Her hunger and heart for the Lord is unmatched as well as a gifted hostess with the mostess!! I am honored to call her friend. Not to mention her dreamy porch has been beckoning me since..

The cowboy has been busy at the store slingin’ feed and garden seed and fertilizer to glory! HALLELUYAH! Thank you for shopping local. We sincerely appreciate your patronage and support. Those who have asked, YES! MORE MACHO FERNS (the ones that don’t shed and LOVE SHADE) are on their way! (Wednesday)

If you’ve shopped with us recently you may have met Kaley. Our new tiny dog. And no, we’re not tiny dog people and yet we are thanks to this little rascal. He LOVES this tiny dog. #Dadgummit

Finally, a request. Many have asked, some are praying others are working with me to accomplish that which God has called me to do. Write our story. The book. Just so you know, I giggle, NO! I crack up when I say that I am writing a book and yet I am.   Commas scare me. I’m the queen of run on sentences, misspelled words and I use way TOO MANY CAPITOL LETTERS AND EXCLAMATION MARKS!!

I feel completely inadequate to complete this task and yet I must. Isn’t it just like the Lord to call us to something we are scared to do? Something we feel completely incapable of finishing before we even start? Yea, that’s this and me.

So here is my request or maybe three:

#1 Please pray me through this. Pray for the Lord to press the words I am to write on my heart.

#2 Pray for God to rise up a small team to hold me accountable. I need people. I am a spaz. We have covered that here many times. I am praying for God to press upon the hearts of those He knows needs this project as much as I need them.

Prayer warriors. Visionary people. Realist. Detail people. Schedule people. Am I talking to you?? Please pray about it and message me if you feel led to here in COMMENTS or Facebook or Instagram…

#3 Tell me the stories you LOVE most. The ones where God has used this space, these words to speak to you. What has inspired you, encouraged you?

Thank you for your loyalty and encouragement. I appreciate you more than you know.

Have a great night y’all
