tens years ago
even 5 years ago
would I have believed you
if you had told me
that I would be a stay at home mom
hosting weekend farm camps
on our family farm
with Cowboy Dan and the little rascals
loving life more than should be allowed?
nope.
no way.
I had always been the woman
who said
“I will be a better mother because I work”
and I believed every word
until I laid eyes on our first little rascal
Tuck
our first born
and then again
when I held Mighty Mouse
for the first time
and I heard a country song today
that told of a man who had worked LOTS
and missed much!
the lyric was
“don’t miss your life”
in that moment
with a lump in my throat
I said THANK YOU Lord!
for allowing me the privilege
and for sharing with me
eternal life through Your Son
a hard working, honest man
for me to adore
healthy boys who laugh
and LOVE
our symphony of barnyard blessings
for us to share and enjoy
I am more grateful
than I have words to describe
I wouldn’t miss this
for the world!
