it will be fine

by Karmen |

lots of things are better with age
cheese
wine
wisdom
vocabulary
self image
sense of humor
and
friendship

today I savored another priceless day trip
with one of my nearest and dearest friends

we didn’t really
go anywhere spectacular
buy anything extraordinary
or experience anything too bizarro
we were just
together

laughing
talking
remembering
philosophying (Cowboy Dan’s word for discussing philosophies)
being real
and anticipating the changes
that are just days away now

bestie and I have worked together for 12 and a half years
we’ve
taught
attended workshops
weddings
births
funerals
exchanged files
shared ideas
laughed
cried
stressed
learned
and LAUGHED

at least 180 days of each of those 12+years

together

and yet
in just a few days
she will go back to work at school
and I will begin my new job
at home

now please don’t misunderstand
I KNOW that home is where I am to be
to mother and school my two little rascals

and she is returning to school where she is to be
and we tell each other
 and ourselves
daily that
“it will be fine”
and it will be

it will just
be
a
different
fine.

so
bear with me over the next couple of weeks
as I adjust
I will do my best not to be too sappy

because I know
“it will be fine.”

right??

Absolutely! I am much older than you guys and can remember after reading the blog, when God first revealed himself to me as a Father. It is a concept that I still struggle with, because I didnt have one growing up. My parents divorced when I was small, but I thank God for my grandfather, who was such a Godly example to me. Still, I know how so many of us do struggle with this. It is so good to see the miracles that God has done and how He is using you.Much love and blessings to you & yours.
