JUNK and PICKIN’
are more my forte’
I have been on a natural high
all weekend!
here is the south
the 450 mile yard sale
runs a rocks throw from our front door
rain or shine
people gather from all over the country side
sifting through one man’s trash
looking for treasure
and I’ve been in it to win it
the last couple of days
hanging with the best of em’
sisters and I come from a long line of pickers
Precious is a picker
Her sister and both her brothers
all LOVE pickin’
we grew up going to a junk stores
one in particular
had PILES of clothes
they looked liked mountains to us
everything a dime
sisters and cousins
would go on Saturdays
fill a bag full
for near nothing
and leave feeling like a million bucks!
Precious’s brother
makes REALLY COOL stuff
out of the junk he gathers
he uses
old fridges, bikes, mowers, scrap metal etc..
He’s just completed a T-Rex that is 16 feet high!!!
He’s been working on it a decade-
really.
He’s gonna be famous.
Precious’s other brother
wood works with his junk and scraps
he builds cabins, counters, booths etc…
He’s cool like that.
Can you tell I am passionate
about junkin’?!
It’s genetic.
