yesterday was one of those
emotional
hormonal
sappy
kind of days for me
(surely onset by the leftover meds in my system
from the granny vein removal on Tuesday)
rascals spent the night with MIL
so Cowboy Dan and I ended the
emotional
roller coaster of a day
with another mini-date (woohoo! two in one week!!)
we watched the last half hour
of the movie Walk the Line
while watching
Johnny beg June for her hand in marriage
(all caught up in the moment)
I turn to Cowboy Dan
“Do you love me like Johnny loved June?”
(now I warned y’all..
I had sap running through my veins last night)
CD: “yes”
me: “would you have begged for me like he begged for her?”
CD: “didn’t have to.”
me: ” I know. but would you have?”
CD: “nope.”
me: “why?”
CD: “too proud.”
me: “well at least you’re honest.”
CD: “we’re an honest pair ain’t we?”

CD: “and if I had been one to beg you ….
….you wouldn’t have loved me like you do.”
me: “you’re right. good thing you took the Rhett Butler approach”
Cowboy Dan responded with a smile
and with that
