thankful

we have so VERY much to be thankful for
really.
all of us do.
and because Cowboy Dan, the rascals and I are so ridiculously blessed
and because I cherish this time of year

Friendship
(according to Wikipedia)
is a relationship between two people who hold mutual affection for each other.

The value of friendship is often the result of friends consistently demonstrating the following:

The ability to be oneself, express one’s feelings and make mistakes without fear of judgement.

(can I get an AMEN?!)

in my 35 years
(and yes, because I am comfortable in my skin. That is my real age.)
I have been extremely fortunate to have made innumerable friendships
from grade school
to Sunday school
from high school
to college
from work
to the world wide web
my most memorable
most treasured life events
have been shared with friends
precious friends
we have
laughed (A LOT)
cried (A LOT)
CELEBRATED LIFE!
and death
attended weddings
and funerals
learned from each other
fussed at each other
missed each other
and
prayed together
even today
while at the doctor with nearest and dearest
I read an article that stated:
those who have STRONG FRIENDSHIPS
are 50% less likely to die!
than those without healthy friendships
which brings to mind
John 15:13
13Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
so tonight
I encourage you to think of your friends
and be thankful
real, authentic friendships
are hard to come by
and is one of the things in life
I have found to be
truly priceless
