sisters and I grew up
camping
in the front yard
in the woods
or on the lake
where ever we could get Daddy-O
to pitch us a tent
Cowboy Dan and his family did much of the same
except their tents
were usually on a trail
or out in the pasture
where ever the horse trail ended that day
since we married
16 years ago
Cowboy Dan and I’ve been camping
together
from the seashore
to the mountaintop
and we’ve been fortunate
to have seen
what I would consider to be
some of the prettiest places
this side of eternity
but the place we stayed this weekend
