>I’m waiting to share an AMAZING story that developed after one of the boys prayed a special prayer. I hoping he is going to agree to record a quick video with me..This story is too good not to see it told in real life. (If you were at WVCC a couple weeks ago you know the story)
> A graphic designer friend and I have something simmering. YOU DO NOT WANT TO MISS THIS..Stay tuned…
>Yes, I’, still writing the manuscript. While dusting (#gasp, I know! I dust. who knew?) the other day I had an epiphany, probably onset by all of the dust but it came to mind most of the major events in my life personally have developed after long seasons of wait. Our children, evidence #1. My journey home from public school #2 The development of this blog and the list goes on. I have made peace with the fact a book can take years. I am writing late at night while my kids are sleeping and growing because when they are awake, it’s busy and fun and I don’t want to miss a thing.
I ask that you bear with me and stick around. The manuscript is developing (slowly but surely) Good things come to those who wait.
>Partnered with a friends yesterday and visited the local jail. It was the best, most refreshing thing I’ve been a part of in a log time. I’m still processing all of the good things that happened and hope to write about it soon. Pray for me as I prepare to go back this Sunday to encourage the ladies in The Lord.
> CHRISTMAS TREES are going FAST! if you are local GET YOUR TREE while supplies last at Fort Payne Feed & Garden.

6 days ago I posted this on Facebook:
“I pray whoever finds the 100 dollar bill I just dropped and lost in Bruce’s Foodland needs it worse than I do or will be honest and return it to the service desk :(”
Within 24 hours I had been blessed two fold. Given one hundred dollars from two separate SPECIAL people….
To share we were humbled by their generosity is an understatement, praying still for the Lord to bless each one for BEING A BLESSING!!!
Which brings me to today…..I went back to the grocery store for a few items. While waiting in the express lane
at the service desk I asked the cashier, “I don’t guess anyone has turned in the 100 dollar bill I lost last week?”
Without reply she stepped away from the register into the small office and began to speak with someone behind the door.
I apologized to the sweet, elderly gentleman standing behind me when he asked, “Excuse me mam, have you been waited on?”
I began explaining to the man what had happened six days prior to our discussion. He was sincere in offering his regrets, politely excused himself and went to another line.
The cashier soon returned with another woman who happened to be holding an envelope.
(insert–>lump in the throat)
“Is that my 100 dollar bill?”
“Yes mam, it is.”
When I noticed the kind elderly man that had just excused himself had returned with his groceries in hand
and was now standing to my left when I said, “ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!?!”
I instantaneously slapped the arm of the kind elderly man “DID YOU HEAR THAT?”
Grinning he said, “I sure did!”
When I shouted, “PRAISE the LORD! FOR HONEST PEOPLE!” He graciously let me side hug him and left with a smile.
I HAD TO HUG SOMEBODY!
IT’S THE THANKSGIVING MIRACLE!!!!!!!!!
The cashier rejoiced with me and said, “I told the man who found the money I would request whoever claimed it to call him and let him know it had been returned.”
“Yes mam! Of course! I will be MORE than happy to call and thank him!”
I thanked her again and felt as though I floated out of the grocery store with the week’s groceries and a 100 dollars to boot!
PRAISE THE LORD!!!!!!!
I immediately called Cowboy Dan, my momma and a friend with the news.
PRAISING the LORD for His FAITHFULNESS
As soon as I could get home I began trying to call the number written on the envelope
8 attempts….
first as it was written
then with a 1
then without a 1
with the area code
and without
each time
“I’m sorry, your number may not be completed as dialed“
I asked Cowboy Dan to join my efforts, “Reading the numbers aloud to me to make sure it’s not my error.”
No luck.
I called the grocery store asked to speak with the manager who had returned our money. I explained to her I was having trouble with the number.
I asked, “Is the man a regular customer?”
“No mam, I’ve never seen him before.”
“I feel like I’m in the movie It’s a Wonderful Life!”
I left the manager my number and asked her to give it to the man should he call and ask about the money.
She graciously agreed.
I’m NOT making this up!
This is a real story that happened to me. I don’t believe in accidents. This incident allowed me again to share with our boys
God hears and answers prayers!
Sometimes God says yes.
Sometimes God says no.
And sometimes God says wait.
To many it’s just a 100 dollars but to me and my family it is and will forever be
the THANKSGIVING MIRACLE!
love y’all
That is just absolutely awesome. I once found $170 under my car at the bank. I took it inside, thinking someone has got to realize they lost the money. Plus, it wasn’t mine. The tellers thanked me for my honesty. Three months later the money was still unclaimed and they put it in my account. I totally didn’t expect that. Anyway…=)
What an unexpected, blessed surprise! FOR BOTH of US! Hope you had a great Thanksgiving. Had you and your family in my prayers.
