Time marches on
Time marches on
and it does
it is one of the things in life
that we have
ABSOLUTELY no control over
we can’t get it back
nor can we make more of it
Time marches on
Time marches on
I was asked the other day by a sweet pastor’s wife
“what’s your favorite part of being at home?”
my reply:
“more time.”
and though I realize there aren’t any more physical hours in the day
than there were before when I was running the rat race
I am now the manager of my time
verses
my time managing me.
instead of answering all day
“Mrs. Smith?.” to 18
I’m now “momma” to 2
instead of starting my day with a minute’s “moment of silence”
I can savor as many minutes with my Savior as I will
instead of running to and fro
with scheduled meetings and assemblies
half hour turn overs
teaching large and small groups to multiples
my time is now spent
one on one
with
mine.
I am more free
to serve the Savior I adore
to be a wife to the man I’m smitten with
and mother to the rascals I cherish
is why I am thankful#27: time
Psalm 39:4-5
“Show me, O LORD, my life’s end and the number of my days; let me know how fleeting is my life. You have made my days a mere handbreadth; the span of my years is as nothing before you. Each man’s life is but a breath.
