but Mary quietly treasured these things in her heart and thought about them often.
Luke 2:19

more than ever before
and especially since last Friday
this verse has been heavy on my heart
this part in particular

….Mary quietly treasured

the shepherds were ASTONISHED
a VAST host of angels PRAISED

while
….Mary quietly treasured

righteous Simeon PRAISED GOD
the prophet Anna PRAISED GOD

….Mary quietly treasured

may I be honest for a moment?

before I became a mother
I never really thought of Mary much
I’ve heard many messages about her
read about her
faithfully positioned her in our Nativity seen each year at Christmas

but never
until this year
 have I
sincerely,
considered Mary

her LOVE for her SON

….Mary quietly treasured

her willingness to be available to God

Mary responded, I am the Lord’s servant, and I am willing to accept whatever he wants.  May everything you have said come true. ‘And then the angel left.” Luke 1:38

her humble heart,

how ordinary she was,

Have you ever thought about
 the fact
 she was
THE ONLY human
who was with Jesus
from birth to death?

I encourage you to join me
as Christmas day approaches
and we celebrate the BIRTH of THE SAVIOR
with friends and family
and we LOVE on our children
and PRAY and mourn for those
who have lost theirs

consider Mary.

Thank God the FATHER
 for Mary.

The mother of THE KING.
