sisters, Precious, the hubbies and the zoo crew (kiddos)
ALL got together Saturday night
because we wanted to be together
 all heavy hearted
sad
broken
over the darkness
of sin
decided togetherness
is how we would begin
the day after…
Our annual Christmas tradition
 began many moons ago
at our house at Tony Creek
a few days before Christmas
we would tie on our Christmas aprons
crank up Elvis’s “Blue Christmas”
on the record player
meet in our small country kitchen
with our ingredients and recipes
new and old
gather Precious’ priceless bowls from the shelves
and then without further adieu’
LET THE MIXIN’ and FIXIN’ begin!
this year sister nurse
orchestrated the event
my Christmas treat
was a simple
NO BAKE
NO HASSLE
classic
YUM
butter, peanut butter, chocolate chips
melted on low heat
poured over Chex mix
stirred
folded
mixed
until well coated with the chocolate mixture
poured into a gallon Ziploc
topped with convection sugar
be sure and ZIP the Ziploc
otherwise you’ll look like this…..
toss and flip
in the SEALED bag
until
 WAH-LAH…
MUDDY MIX!
leave your
NO HASSLE
YUM to cool
>insert< taste test
Kate helped sister nurse make her
sinfully
YUMMY
Pecan PIE and
chocolate covered pretzels
Cowboy Dan’s favorite
before….
and AFTER
Lou likes it all!
some of the kitchen crew:
sister nurse, Precious and Kate
Bitsy was a BIG help!
with the cake balls
and crock pot candy
and the night made complete:
with THE CLEAN-UP CREW
another great year
in our Christmas kitchen
blessed beyond measure
