the rascals LOVE craft time
particularly
unchaperoned craft time
I must admit
though I love being crafty
the rascals craft time
in our homeschool schedule
isn’t what it should be
(shame on me)
so yesterday when this cutie said
“hey mom, can we make something today?”
what else could I say? what would you have said?
but
“sure, son.”
being a bit ill-prepared
but having years of
“fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants” experience as a first grade teacher
my thought trail went something like this:
winter. snow.? SNOWFLAKES..coffee filters? check. scissors? check.
then a snag
my four year old grasping
“do NOT cut on the fold”
UNcheck.
I quickly moved to
PLAN B:
SNOWMAN!
boring..
but
a SALTY SNOWMAN!
