some days are more challenging than others

some days it’s a challenge to get out of my PJs before noon

while other days the challenge is staying focused.

keeping my heart & mind focused on HIM

choosing HIS ways not mine.

other days; like today

while sweeping chicken poo off my porch

the mundane are the most challenging

dishes, laundry, groceries, dusting, YADA.YADA.YADA.

lest we forget the days when discipline

is the MAIN EVENT of the day

the emotionally challenging days where I question my parenting tactics..

“did I handle that the best way possible?”

“have I modeled the appropriate behaviors?”

“did I encourage or discourage them more today?”

each day a plethora of challenges

“how can I be a better wife? a better friend? better servant?”

it’s SOOO easy to get OFF TRACK

and why I am grateful for HIS grace

that He allows us to fail

that REROUTING…REROUTING

is an option

each day is NEW

an opportunity to start fresh

and if we will

“in all our ways acknowledge HIM, HE will direct our paths”

so how bout’ it??
