it’s “Five Minute Friday” —Lisa-Jo Baker’s prompt for today:
STORY:
maybe it’s the teacher in me
or maybe it’s the mother
but even before I knew either of those roles
I’ve always been a passionate story teller
as a child, I told B-I-G, imaginative stories
as a teen, I told falsehoods. lots of them
there has always been “just one more” story
this morning the story isn’t mine to tell, it’s Tucker’s
he accepted Christ as his Savior last night
& his story has just begun
as I lay awake this morning I was thinking of all of the things that God may choose to do with his little life
will Tucker be bold and courageous?
will he share his story?
will he have a heart for missions? the poor? the sick?
will he have a strong desire for discipleship? teaching? pastoring? serving?
I don’t know
only God know the next page of his story
and mine
and like numbers
our story
never ends
even after death
what stories will be told about you? about me? about my little Tucker?
after we’re gone
will our stories encourage??
inspire??
I sure hope so.
dont’ you?
