a splash of nostalgia this morning as I join Lisa-Jo for a quick #FiveMinuteFriday on the prompt..
Red:
is now the color of the tailgate from the wagon that we rode in just after we said “I thee wed..”
we rode all alone “Mr. & Mrs.” from our little white church to our “home sweet home”
to celebrate with family and friends our covenant and promise to love each other “til death do us part”
..It’s been almost 17 years now since we painted that wagon in his daddy’s shop. I remember the fret and worry if it was the “right” color green. He wanted it to be just right. It was then and now..
The tailgate refurbished now as a red shelf hangs under the painting of our little rascals feet.
What began as us …is now complete as four
And though our morning chatter is quieter now … life with homeschooling, hay baling, horseshoeing, the feed store and more
he’s still the man for me
now and forever more
Wonderful sentiment. I feel the same way about my hubby. Thanks for fellowshiping at Five Minute Friday. I enjoyed reading your blog and will be back for more visits. 🙂

So beautiful! I love that. 🙂 Your wedding picture is adorable, and I love how you’ve repurposed the tailgate. Happy almost 17 years!
