it’s official!
I’m ALL GROWN UP
(and it only took 35 years, 3 months and 12 days)
for those
who are
just getting to know me
you should know…
I am a chicken.
I sprout feathers
pending the right circumstance
but particularly
when it comes to staying
HOME ALONE
I hear E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G
(WHAT WAS THAT?!!!-seriously!
something just hit the roof—deep breath….exhale)
sorry, where were we?
oh yes…
I am one of those spoiled rotten women
(and yes, you can talk bad about me to your friends)
who went straight from the comfort of momma and daddy
to
married
I’ve never lived alone
so when it comes to staying alone
I get all antsy
and actually-
until the rascals were born
I wouldn’t
thankfully
my sisters love me
and would have me over (SLUMBER PARTY!!!)
anytime Love was away
but now that I am a motherand am all grown up and mature
Cowboy Dan shames me into it
“for the boys sake”
so I will stay home
but I don’t like it
or I thought I didn’t
Cowboy Dan left Monday morning
on his first foreign mission trip
to the Dominican Republic
I am so THANKFUL
he had the opportunity to go
and can’t WAIT TO HEAR ALL about it
stay tuned… will post trip details soon-
(he’s on his way HOME now!! YIPPEEEE!!!!!)
and due to his absence
I added to my daily “to-do” list
the funny farm chores:
#1 feed scratch to the PLENTIFUL flock of feathered foul (including 7ish turkeys, 40+chickens, 3 ducks and one MEAN goose) that begin stampeding the moment they hear the chain on the gate rattle
bringing the GRAND total
I would like to add
one last note:
now having
six days
of successful feeding behind me
I am PROUD to say
I AM officially ALL GROWN UP
and
I can stay
HOME ALONE
and I don’t HATE it
as much as I once did
