my sweet, Tucker Wayne

is seven!

I’ve fought it all day

I drank a couple of Cokes

straight up

trying to fight the lump rising in my throat

but tonight

as I tucked the little rascal in

I forfeited.

and cried.

and when I walked out of his room

I cried even harder

happy. happy. happy

tears

PRAISING the Lord for hearing and answering my heart’s cry

to become a mother.
