1,825 days old tomorrow

my baby will be…

jr

if I were to write a letter to you, my youngest son

I would tell you how absolutely-perfectly you complete this family of four

How utterly in love with you I have been since I first saw your quivering little chin

I would tell you that from the moment you arrived you’ve looked exactly like your daddy, only squished

except from the rearview, you look more like your momma

Your blue eyes melt my heart and soul

and when you smile your smile with your tiny little teeth and your seven little freckles

you light up our world

I wish I could bottle your voice

and hormones for life, except for the fact that that would be creepy

I would thank you for questioning everything…for giving meaning to silly things, small things, big things

100_4547

for my sticky floors, lost puzzle pieces, broken toys,

the hugs and Eskimo kisses

and ALL of my breathtaking bouquets

flowers and feathers alike

flower

precious memories, each and every one

feathers

I can hardly wait to see what the Lord has in store for your life?

Will you be an athlete?  fast and agile, juuuust like your momma (wink, wink)

a zoo keeper, a rodeo clown, a trick rider,

a natural with animals, juuust like your daddy

a charmer with a capital “C” putting mommy on guard with a capital “G”

I love you to all of our favorite places and back

again and again and again

all my love,

momma

  1. Cherish ALL of those precious memories (every one)… God;s blessings surround each of us and they
are there for us to enjoy.
