goals are good.   I’m still praying through what mine should be for this next year.  A few that will not make the list and yet probably should

#1 stop biting my nails-  it’s gross

#2 keep a cleaner car- it’s Skankville more days than not

#3 fold my clothes and teach the boys to fold their clothes verses cramming them into our drawers #notgonnahappen #sorrynotsorrytomyboysfuturespouses

nY2

A couple that are at the TOP OF THE LIST so far…

#1 MAKE THE MOST OF EVERY OPPORTUNITY

“Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days.” Ephesians 5:16

Christmas Day three local children lost their lives in a fire.  Their family will never be the same.  A friend of ours buried her mother yesterday.  One of our loved ones went to the doctor for the crud and left with instructions to have lab work and see a heart specialist.  Yesterday was ten years I delivered one of our babies that I never got to hold.

Life is tough y’all.  People get sick.  Death is inevitable.  Life here…is but a vapor…

So we BEST MAKE THE MOST OF EVERY OPPORTUNITY to share the HOPE and promise of ETERNAL LIFE with Christ  -EVERY CHANCE WE GET..

TODAY! Share at least one thing Christ has done for you with somebody!

Share how He answered your prayer with one who is downtrodden.

Visit one who is brokenhearted.

Show compassion.

Give to one who cannot give back to you.

Make peace with one you have been at odds.

FORGIVE. LOVE.

NOW IS THE TIME! not tomorrow. TODAY!

“Do not say, “There are still four months and then comes the harvest? Behold I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for the harvest!”  John 4:44

(If you don’t know Christ as Savior-email me! let’s talk!)

Another one at the TOP OF MY LIST

#2  GUARD MY HEART

Above all else, guard your heart,
for everything you do flows from it. Proverbs 4:23

So what? For years I’ve argued with many friends and loved ones that what I watched, read or listened to didn’t effect my relationship with Christ.  And then~I decided to shut up and try something.  I turned my radio off in the car.  We cancelled our satellite and became much more intentional with what we exposed our family to via television and computer. I called and removed myself from the mailing list of several catalogs. And you know what?  It does matter.  I found that I had become desensitized to LOTS of things that matter A LOT.  Try it.  See what happens.

I’m excited.  VERY excited about this new year.   I hope you are.  Let’s help each other focus less on things that don’t really matter and more on things that do…

blessings to you-

with love,

:o) k
