this is where I’m at this morning…
Balance is a vicious battlefield…trying to nail down or hold up all the life stuff …
Your fill-in-the blanks look a bit different than mine but I feel certain you’re trying to balance your fair share of life as well..
My fill-in-the blanks look something like this….wife, mother of two, homeschool teacher, small business owner, farm living, follower of Jesus who desperately wants to write the story He has given me, speaker and teacher of His truth, sister to two, daughter and friend…..
Years ago when I was still teaching during a conversation with a friend I had an epiphany…
We can’t do it ALL well every.single.day.
Some days we do __________ really well and bomb ____________
Other days we do __________ well and bomb the other…
We just can’t do ALL the stuff REALLY well EVERY day… we just can’t. even if we want to really bad. we just can’t.
and it’s okaaaaaay…
If we could do ALL the stuff and do it really well we would get puffed up and we wouldn’t call on Him…
We wouldn’t. Y’all know it..I know it.. He knows it… and that’s part of the reason why we can’t do ALL the stuff well every.day.
another part of the reason may be that we are trying to do too much…we hear it..we say it..we KNOW it-but yet we still try to do tooooo much…so how do we know what life stuff to keep and what to graciously let go for now??
We ask Him..
My prayer this morning, Lord help me to say yes to Your will and not mine…Pour out Your wisdom and discernment so that I may know the difference….Help me be a good steward of the time You have given me. Father you said in Isaiah 26:3 “You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because He trusts in You.” I trust You Lord. Keep my heart and mind in perfect peace as I trust in YOU to guide me through today…amen and amen.
love’ yall…praying for you ..
have a super Saturday 😀

Amazing how this fits in with my life right now as my sister and I are caring for our mother. There are all the “things” pulling in different directions but thank God for his peace, or we might miss the curves and plunge down the ditch. There are those thing we will be appointed to do and those things that will be there when we can get to them. Its ok for us to have a back burner to put them on until we can.
