Last minute Christmas shoppers will you please stand?
Look around. You are not alone, so I don’t want anyone to panic.
I want everyone to remain calm.
It’s Christmas Eve, Eve, Eve and we are all calm.
We are savoring the season.
There are gifts still to buy and whose had time to wrap, but we are calm.
When my sisters and I were little and would be wound up at night daddy would come and lie down in the doorway that connected our bedrooms. He would speak in the most soothing voice and declare to us, “You are feeling calm. You are ready to rest. You are re-la-x-e-d. You are quiet.”
It was morning before we knew what had happened. His monotone lullaby hushed us right to sleep which is what I’m attempting to do for those of you who may need a reminder to remain c-a-l-m this Christmas.
I also have the perfect last minute gift idea.
A prayer journal.
