He loves me.

by Karmen |

my heart JUMPED

yesterday at 3:40 when Cowboy Dan walked out into the garden area of the store and asked

“did you talk to your sister about who is picking up the kids from school?”

“WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!”

It was my day to pick up sister banker’s 3 kiddos

who I love like my own

and

I forgot.

Never even crossed my mind.

I was rearranging, watering, sorting flowers at the store.

I immediately called to apologize

feeling like a sorry ol’ yard dog

to see if there was anything I could do to help

Sister was fine

her kids were mad at at me

I was too.

Too many irons in the fire.

I took them an ice cream

we hugged and made up

This morning in my quiet time

I was gently reminded

He loves me.

My Savior’s love is not based on my performance.

On how well or not-so-well I get things done

His is LOVE is everlasting

unfailing

yesterday. today. tomorrow.

Love that about God. We don’t need to perform, He knows us and loves us still!!

Love the Grace of our Father! It is harder to sometimes forgive ourselves 🙂 !
I had to chuckle though because its a story I can relate to…. I have forgotten my own (and others’ children) , a horrid feeling at the time but probably character building all round!
